Dolapo Makindipe is the Architectural Manager of Afrihood Development Company
A versatile Architect and Project Manager with more than 10 years work experience in the USA & Nigeria, Dolapo is a graduate of Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University USA and also has a Master degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign USA. She started her career as a Design Architect with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in Chicago and was actively involved in the design process of high-performance, energy-efficient, and sustainable buildings in Dubai, UAE.
She continued her career in Nigeria in 2009 as an Architect with Popham Walter Odusote Ltd., and for another four years with Primewaterview Ltd., where she rose to the position of Deputy Manager (Projects). In this period, she managed the design, construction and supervision processes of mid-rise residential buildings consisting of 1000+ apartment units in PWV Gardens Phase 2, The Views Estate, and Safe Court Apartments in the Lekki/Ajah Axis, all valued in the excess of N5 billion. She also worked shortly in Juba, South Sudan and teamed with the local architects in the design of the Proposed Juba City Council while developing master plans for proposed residential estates in the city.
In 2015, Dolapo joined Play in Architecture Ltd. as the Project Execution Manager, and successfully led technical teams in the implementation and execution of various proposed, ongoing and completed development projects. A mentioned few are The Iconic Towers Victoria Island, FC Barcelona Soccer School Lagos, Club Quilox Abuja, LFMA (LoveWorld Festival of Music & Arts) Developments Lagos and several Joint Venture Mixed-Use Projects with Large Real Estate Companies including The Address Homes, The Haven Homes, Grenadine Homes, Fourscore Homes and Cruxstone Development.
